Growing up, I was protected and safe. I never I had to worry about threats or anything like. Over this past summer, I traveled to Mombasa, Kenya. If you are a big white guy like me, you stick out. At one point in the trip, thieves were following me.

The only reason I did not get robbed was because of my friend. He had my back and kept a look out. If they had stolen anything, I would not have known what to do. It was a learning experience for me and should be for anyone reading this. Be vigilant! Thank you for sharing this article and giving me the opportunity to tell my story.

I can’t thank you enough for sharing your story! I’m sure we all have had some scary times in our lives. I am glad things worked out well for you! Having a friend nearby who had your back was great!

Question- If you had been alone what would you have done?
Maybe carrying some sort of protection like Mace or Pepper Spray would have let you feel more secure in this situation?
Again I can’t tell you enough how important this is in today’s world. Please think about it.

      Thanks,

    Hi Jeff,
I like you site! I do not have a story about how a safety device saved my life or changed a situation for the better. That being said I can tell you about a lady coworker from several years ago had a great story. She had worked late in downtown and when leaving the streets were fairly deserted. She went to a parking garage to get her car and when she was about 50 feet away 2 men came at her. They’d been hiding behind a large cement beam. She saw them out of the corner of her eye and had the foresight to carry pepper spray. Since they did not run at her she had time to reach into her purse and get the pepper spray. She sprayed one guy in the eyes and as he fell on the ground grabbing at his face his friend ran away. The lady left the parking garage quickly and called 911. The police caught the guy who she’d pepper sprayed about 30 minutes later! Good ending to the story!

WOW!! GREAT story with a HAPPY ENDING!

That’s what my WEBSITE is all about. Getting people the devices they need to do just that, PROTECTING THEMSELVES and Opening peoples eyes to the REAL dangers out there.

I’m so glad she had the pepper spray. It saved her life I bet!  I bet that guy will think twice now when it comes to trying to rob or assault someone again. Lesson be learned for both Men and Woman, CARRY with you at all times some SELF DEFENSE protection!!

I’m here to help everyone get just that, PROTECTED!

      Thanks,

Hi Jeff, this story does not involve the use of any products to protect myself, but it is a pretty interesting story in my opinion nonetheless so I think I’ll share it. About a year ago, my best friend was about to join the military, so we went on a huge adventure before he left

We hiked for 4 days in the Appalachian trail near the blue ridge mountains in Georgia. We finished our hike about 2 days early and we were going to meet one of my friend’s roommates in Florida. Seeing that we had two extra days, we decided to go to Washington D.C to see the sights and what not. Both of us were very excited as we both have never seen Washington D.C, where the president lived.

After exploring around, this man who sounded like he was on crack approaches us. “Ayy, you guys tryna find some weed”

I tapped my friend’s shoulders “bro, let’s get out of here” But my friend has a more adventurous side than I do, so we follow this dude through a bunch of ghetto allyways.

Eventually, my friend skips out, he just dashes and starts running, I’m like “oh god”, I make a sprint for it 2 seconds after he starts running. I see the dealer start to chase us, luckily he isn’t in the best shape. We escaped unfazed, just a bit out of breath, and about 6 hours later we took off for Florida.

Wow!! Escaped from a near confrontation!! I’m glad no one was hurt, your friend will think twice before doing that again!

I believe you guys should see the importance in carrying some kind of protection being mace, pepper spray or  if need be at least a pocket knife. Always be safe and have a way to stop the fear!!!

      Thanks for the great comment!
